According to the outlet, shortly after officers arrived on the scene and spoke with the Poolman star, they determined the call made was bogus and the fourth incident of “swatting”—or the act of intentionally placing a hoax emergency call to draw a strong police response to an address—at Pine’s address

Law enforcement officials explained to the outlet that they tried to contact the caller, who they’ve also determined doesn’t live in California, but they were uncooperative and hung up. Police say they are now investigating the caller for the ****** of filing a false police report and working to determine if the same person is responsible for the additional three calls officers previously responded to.

Pine’s most recent surprise visit from law enforcement comes a little over a week after Jennifer Aniston was the target of a similar incident, with police receiving a concerning phone call in the middle of the night that led them to make a ******** check at the provided address, which was Aniston’s home. When police arrived, they spoke with the Morning Show star’s security and were able to determine the call made was a false alarm.
