A child is ***** and another person ******** missing after an early morning ***** at a unit complex in Queensland.

Emergency services were called to a townhouse on Bayside Court in Thorneside, east of Brisbane, about 7.15am on Sunday.

Queensland Police Chief Inspector Karl Hahne said authorities feared the missing person had also ***** in the *****.

“One person is still unaccounted for however, we have a strong belief that person is also in the ***** scene,” he said.

“I can say completely that for the next few hours, maybe in a couple of days, there will be an ongoing investigation.”

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed a third person was treated for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital in a stable condition.
