Toyota continues to be the market leader by far when it comes to hybrids in Australia.

The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) has published its quarterly Zero & Low Emission Vehicles Report, showing the state of the hybrid market at the end of September 2024.

You need only look at the table below to see just how dominant Toyota is, with its 88,919 sales in the first nine months of this year, accounting for 68.4 per cent of all hybrid sales during this *******.

GWM was a distant second, with Hyundai close behind in third.

Hybrids not only outsold EVs (88,919 vs 70,094 sales) during this nine-month *******, but they also saw more significant growth (87 per cent vs 6.6 per cent).

Only PHEVs saw more significant growth, up 120.5 per cent if only to 15,546 sales.

Unsurprisingly, the list of the top 10 best-selling hybrid vehicles is dominated by Toyotas.
