You’ve only just battled it out with a giant fish; now you’re faced with an oversized, fluorescent crustacean. Vocavor is the main dungeon boss in The Jabul Waters Rift main story quest, following the precursor ****** with Lord Jabu-Jabu in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

This time, the battle takes place underwater, so you’ll have to maneuver around his attacks while managing your oxygen levels. If you’re wondering how to defeat Vocavor, use these handy tricks, and you’ll beat the bubbles out of him in no time.

Tips and Tricks on How to Defeat Vocavor in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

Summon the Chompfin echo to chomp at the giant crustacean.

Before diving into the best tactics on how to beat Vocavor in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, let’s get you set up with some tips to make sure you’re well-prepared.

Before even entering the arena, get the Zora’s Flippers at the River Zora Shop and equip these in your accessories tab. You can also stock up on smoothies that will boost your swim speed and ***** time.

Tip

Combine Riverhorse with Monster Fang or a Golden Egg to get a 5-minute-long speed boost. Riverhorse with Bubble Kelp, Floral Nectar, Rock Salt, or Fresh Milk will let you swim faster for one minute.

Once you’re in the arena, you’ll see bubbles in different spots. Make sure to swim through them frequently to refill your oxygen gauge.

The best echo to summon in this underwater ****** is the Chompfin. If you haven’t learned this one yet, head to the pirate ship in the south of Seesyde Village in Zora Cove to find it.

How to ***** Vocavor

You’ll need to pop the bubbles on his back to deal damage and beat this boss in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

Like most fights in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the battle is split into two stages. His attacks remain the same; however, they do increase in speed and intensity toward the end.

Tornadoes: Vocavor will ****** underwater tornadoes toward you. They move horizontally, so simply swim up and down to avoid them.

This will exhaust the crustacean, giving you an in to *******. After the last tornado, swim above him. Summon your trusted shark and transform into Swordfighter Form, then start hitting the blue bubbles on his back.

Once his bare back is exposed, keep hitting it until he recovers. Then get away fast, as he will do a heavy backflip spin *******.

Watch out for incoming missiles.

Spikes: Depending on how the ****** goes and how quickly you burst his bubbles, he might ****** projectiles from his tail in your direction that will track you. Find cover underneath one of the platforms to avoid them.

Tip

You can also use your minions as shields by summoning several aquatic echoes like the Bombfish to take the hits for you. This is mean, but effective.

Things get a little trickier during the second stage of that battle. Now, parts of the water will drain. Vocavor can still swim through the air, making it much ******* to get to him.

Stay in the water pillars to better avoid Vocavor’s attacks.

This is when his attacks get more powerful too. Stay in the water pillars to be able to maneuver around them more easily. He’ll end his flurry of tornadoes with one huge whirlwind below him, so make sure to stay high in the water.

This will wear him out, leading him to hang in the air upside down. Get underneath him and hit him in Swordfighter Form from below.

Steer clear of his backflip ******* that follows, then get into the water and swim up. He will swim through the water, allowing you to ******* from above and pop his bubbles in Swordfighter Form once again. It’s also helpful to keep a Chompfin echo around.

With this, you should have defeated the crustacean and completed The Jabul Waters Rift main story quest. You’ll be rewarded with a heart container, five might crystals, and Tri will level up.
