AFL Trades 2024: Future pick trading set to unlock Fremantle Dockers’ pursuit of Sydney star Chad Warner

Fremantle list boss David Walls says changes to allow clubs to trade draft picks two years in advance will give the Dockers the necessary “ammunition” to land Chad Warner if the Sydney star chooses to return home to WA.

But Walls doesn’t expect the East Fremantle product will want to head west this year, instead believing he will at least see out the final year of his contract with the Swans before making a call on his long-term future.
