How To Earn The Reverent Promised Title

With the recent release of Starfield‘s first-ever major expansion, Shattered Space, players will embark on a quest like no other. They will be exposed to the house of Var’uun.

More than a faction, the house of Var’uun, as players will see in the latest Starfield DLC, is a theocratic system. One of the most important objectives for the player will be to earn the Reverent Promised title, and this guide will show you how to do that with little to no difficulty.

How to Earn the Reverent Promised Title in Starfield Shattered Space: Beginning The Quest

The game’s expansion begins with an investigative quest, leading you to the city of Dazra.

The Shattered Space DLC for Bethesda’s latest spans a little over three-and-a-half hours in terms of playtime. Moreover, you don’t need to complete the main campaign before beginning the expansion. This is naturally the player not undertaking a completionist mindset and only doing all the main quests in a bare-bone fashion.

However, players might wonder how to earn the Reverent Promised Title during the game’s expansion. To take things from scratch, one must begin ‘The Promised, Broken’ quest in the game.

The first objective would be to ‘Reach the City Of Dazra’. As someone attempts to contact the Oracle, move towards the door before you, marked by the cyan-******** beacon, as shown in the image above.

Command your Spaceship for reaching the house of Va’ruun is your destiny and you are the chosen one.

After a loading screen, follow the objective marker to get to the Oracle Docking Bay and the Rambler, respectively. Sit on the Pilot Seat by interacting with it and undock your spaceship.

Set your destination as the city of Dazra and land on it. Exit your ship, and you shall encounter Voris Nerun, a Va’ruun Guard. Choose the ‘This was an accident…’ dialogue alternative, the ‘Something went wrong’, and the ‘Your Station Brought Me Here…’ dialogue option.

Talk to the phantom standing before you and then interact with the councillor standing beside it. Choose the ‘He sounds plenty lost himself’ and the ‘All must serve’ dialogue options, respectively. Follow the councillor and select the ‘All right…’ dialogue option.

How to Earn the Reverent Promised Title in Starfield Shattered Space: An Introduction to Dazra And The Serpent’s Path

A theocratic society at its core, the house of Va’ruun in Starfield is comprised of devout believers and worshippers of the great Great Serpent.

Keep true and stay in the counsellor’s proximity, for he will lead you to your next destination. After a couple of interruptions, you will reach Inaza Kaisir, the next piece of the puzzle.

After introducing Inaza, the Serpent’s herald to you, the council representative shall make himself scarce. Soon, the dialogue between you and Inanza will begin.

She will confirm if you are ready for the upcoming undertaking and if you will stay determined, for you have to walk the serpent’s path alone. Ready up and select the dialogue choice affirming your choice. Get to the objective marker to trigger a loading screen.

Then, walk past the burning cauldrons to reach a ***** entrance marked by an inverted pyramid. Go into the ***** and keep moving and you will keep hearing Inaza’s voice.

Tip

Keep going straight ahead; stick to your path. You will know that your path is the right one if you reach a site where some bones and a bowl are scattered.

Once you reach the point where you see those bones, turn around until you see candles and then head towards your right. Going ahead, you will find your way to the objective relatively simply. After that, ***** out a candle to complete an optional objective.

How to Earn the Reverent Promised Title in Starfield Shattered Space: Placing The Effigies on the Altar

Take a leap of ****** and prove that you are ready to serve the Great Serpent with all your might and all your heart.

Get to the next objective marker, and you will see two objective markers on your HUD when you reach a Serpent shrine. Wait for Inaza to complete and then walk towards the nearby objective marker to take your leap of ****** and cross over to the adjacent platform.

Keep walking such that you decrease the distance between you and the objective marker until you reach a shrine, once again, marked by an inverse pyramid.

Meditate on the shrouding so that the Great Serpent can guide you.

Beneath you will be poisoned water. You can meditate on it and deliberate the shrouding as per Inaza’s instructions. You will then be prompted to sacrifice a great.

Tip

You won’t see the groat until Inaza finishes her dialogue, so stay patient and you will see a new objective marker pop up.

Get to the objective marker on the elevated platform and open the door. Once you open the door and get to the next objective marker, you will see various items (effigies) at your disposal. Depending on which effigies you pick and place on the altars, you will receive various titles.

This step is key to receiving the Revenant Promised Title, ensure that you only pick up the Effigies of Devotion and Obedience and place them on the Altars.

This step is crucial and will determine whether or not you get the Reverent Promised title. You will also see two additional objective markers placed further away from you.

The first step is to grab the Effigy of Devotion and place it on any one of the two altars. Next, get to the other altar and place the Effigy of Obedience.

Now that you have completed all the steps mentioned above, you only need to make your way to Inaza again. She will then grant you the title of the Reverent, and you can now continue your journey through Starfield‘s Shattered Space DLC.

Despite all of the hate that Starfield received at launch, Shattered Space might be one of Bethesda’s numbered chances to pull off a comeback. Do you feel the expansion will be enough?
