If you’re exploring the new Starfield DLC, Shattered Space, you’ll want to grab as many capable companions as possible to help you survive the galaxy’s dangers. In this Shattered Space guide, we’ll walk you through how to recruit Sahima Ka’dic in particular and how to complete the quest that unlocks her.

She’s one of those companions you don’t want to miss out on, as she brings valuable skills in both combat and ship management, making her a solid addition to your crew.

Unlocking her as a companion means going through part of the main quest anyway, so you don’t need to go out of your way to do it!

How to Recruit Sahima Ka’dic in the Starfield DLC

You need to solve a ******** situation before you can recruit Sahima Ka’dic.

Sahima Ka’dic is a new companion introduced in the Shattered Space DLC. After completing the quest ‘Zealous Overreach,’ you’ll have the option to recruit her at House Ka’dic in Dazra City—but only if you make certain choices during the quest.

Sahima’s skills make her a valuable crew member, especially if you rely on high-tech weaponry or need an energy-efficient ship.

Here’s what she brings to your team: EM ******* Systems (Tech, Rank 2), which boosts ship-based EM ******* damage and recharge speed by 10%; ******* Certification (Combat, Rank 1), which increases scoped ******* damage by 10% when using the scope; and Aneutronic Fusion (Science, Rank 1), which helps your ship reactors produce a minor surplus of energy (+1).

‘Zealous Overreach’ is one of the main DLC quests you need to complete soon after being inducted in House Va’ruun and receiving a Promised title. It takes you on a journey involving the Ka’dic family and their ongoing issues with the Va’ruun Zealots.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Zealous Overreach

Do not ***** Sahima Ka’dic, or you will be locked out of recruiting her permanently.

The quest kicks off at Shadow Station Epsilon, where you’ll need to talk to Mirek Ka’dic after speaking with Razma Ka’dic. Mirek holds key information about the Zealots, and you can persuade him to reveal their location.

However, if you fail the persuasion check, you can still get the location by hacking into his computer using a digipick. We have a guide covering how to lockpick with digipicks if you’re having trouble with that.

Once you’ve got the info, return to Razma to progress the quest. Next, head over to speak with Dijmal Ka’dic, who is nearby. After the conversation, go back to Shadow Station Epsilon, where you’ll run into some trouble.

On your way to the station, you’ll be attacked by Phantoms and Va’ruun Zealots. ****** through these enemies and make your way deeper into the station.

Tip

Make sure to stock up on healing items and ammo before heading to this area, and consider bringing a tough companion.

Eventually, you’ll reach Sahima Ka’dic. Here, you’ll have a critical choice: you can either talk to her and pursue a peaceful resolution or ***** her.

Since you’re aiming to recruit her as a companion, choose the peaceful path by talking to her to continue the quest. Sahima will give you a side objective to free the hostages.

You’ll need to go deeper into the station to find the hostages. Among them is Gavin Ka’dic, who will help progress the quest once you talk to him.

Take out all the remaining Va’ruun Zealots before attempting to free the hostages. Now, meet Sahima and the others outside the station to move forward with the quest.

Completing Zealous Overreach and Recruiting Sahima

Sahima will tell you where you can find her after the quest concludes.

At this point, you’ll be tasked with interrupting the negotiations at the Badlands Power Station. Follow the quest marker in Starfield to the station and head inside to find Razma and Mihael Dziri in the middle of negotiations. During the dialogue, you’ll have the option to either persuade Mihael to stand down or ***** him.

We won’t spoil the consequences of your choices, but rest assured, you’ve already done what’s required to make Sahima a recruitable companion. Plus, regardless of how things play out, your conversation with Razma won’t change much.

Once the negotiations are over, return to Ekris at the Mourning Device to complete the quest. With the quest finished, you can now head back to House Ka’dic in Dazra City and officially recruit Sahima as your companion.
