A towering ***** statue depicting former President Donald Trump appeared in central Phoenix on Thursday.

in Las Vegas earlier this week. It is titled “Crooked and Obscene,” according to a news release from the people taking credit for its creation.

“The title reflects the controversial aspects attributed to both the figure represented and the nature of the installation itself,” the release reads. “By unveiling a ***** marionette of Donald Trump in an unexpected setting, the project aims to provoke thought and encourage open conversation about the complexities of political power and leadership.”

It was unclear who exactly was behind the project.

Individuals with the project refused to identify themselves on Thursday near the exhibit location off Washington Street and 24th Street. The area immediately surrounding it was private property and not open to the public.

Representatives of businesses in the area, which include a cannabis dispensary, said they had nothing to do with the statue.

According to the release, the statue was made of foam and rebar, weighing close to 6,000 pounds. Some people stopped by to take photos of the more than 40-foot-tall installation.

It’s unclear when the statue will be moved next. The release indicated this was the piece’s “second stop.” Both Nevada and Arizona are considered
