Coalition foreign affairs spokesman Simon Birmingham says there are “limits” to what Australia can do to help Australians in Lebanon as the rapidly expanding conflict in the Middle East continues to heat up.

The Albanese government has secured hundreds of seats on flights leaving Lebanon’s capital Beirut this week, but only a handful have taken up the opportunities to get out despite intensifying ******** strikes on the city.
