preorders right now, and shockingly, this one’s been instigated by journalists and publications rather than the usual suspects: console warriors. For some reason, a $700 niche product not selling out is being interpreted as something negative.

The debate was sparked by a strangely worded tweet by The Verge’s Tom Warren, who made it a point to note that PS5 Pro hasn’t sold out in the U.S. or U.K., before adding that the console’s “$700 price point means it’ll be available this holiday.”
