A little bit of both. Its not a remake in the sense of Resident Evil or Final Fantasy remakes. Those games had a huge budget, different stories, and feature no legacy aspects, which make them “full true reimagined games”.

MGS 3: Delta is a mid-tier budget game. New controls and gameplay improvements, but uses the old small PS2 map design with modern graphics placed on top. ****** AI and boss fights should be extremely similar from the original. Voice acting from 2004 as well, with a near identical script.

In some ways this may be a good thing, I don’t want a Twin Snakes situation here, but in other ways, its close enough to the original game where it won’t feel like a new experience outside of the modern controls.

Some may claim its either a good or bad thing to make such a close graphical remake of the legendary game. But either way your stance may be, its not an ambitious game, that much is made clear.
