And It Will Hurt More Than A GTA 6 Delay

Hideo Kojima recently attended the Tokyo Game Show and revealed details about the most anticipated game from him, the sequel to ****** Stranding. He revealed a lot of details about the game and shared some in-game cinematics featuring the cast.

However, not everything that was revealed by Kojima could be interpreted as good news. Kojima also revealed that the game is only 30%–40% complete as of now which could result in a potential delay upon release next year.

There has not been any announcement regarding ****** Stranding 2’s release date as of now. On top of this, now we know that the game is lagging behind in production and will take a while to meet the internal deadlines.

This is shaping up to be a major cause of concern for the fans of the game, who have been waiting for it since 2019. One of the major causes of delays is speculated to be the translation of dialogues in ********* for a local release.

Not much was revealed by Kojima on the same, as he only mentioned that the game is only 30%-40% complete as of now. He also did not look stressed about it. He further talked about how this was not going to affect the game’s release date next year.

Kojima does not talk about any delay in the release date and he looked confident in his statements during the Tokyo Game Show 2024. However, fans have been wanting to hear more from him ever since he talked about the amount of work left to do in the game.

However, it can be speculated that the game is currently not looking to be on track if Kojima is planning to release it next year. It is highly likely that the game will get delayed, which will hurt more than GTA 6’s delay.

Kojima was pretty confident in his statements at the Tokyo Game Show while talking about the current state of his next game, ****** Stranding 2. Even after stressing on the point that there is a large chunk of the game yet to be finished, he was calm in his demeanour and looked like he would complete the game in due time for release sometime in 2025.

The release date of the game is yet to be announced, and it is anticipated that it will be announced next year once the team at Kojima Productions gets a better picture of it.

****** Stranding 2 is currently speculated to be released next year, given that it faces no further delays and gets ready in time for a complete release next year. The game will be releasing as a PS5 exclusive.
