A hike along Harvey’s Wildflower Ridge Walk shows a landscape packed with unique flowers of different shapes and sizes, each filling their own niche within the ecosystem, as cockatoos songs echo overhead. Before you can soak up the charm of a single flower, three more flowers, equally as intricate, are sure to catch your attention nearby. Western Australia’s wildflower diversity is celebrated across the country as more than 12,000 species paint the landscape from June to November. As the months warm up, there is no better time to get out and see some of the brilliant biodiversity available right on our doorstep. Just be sure to preserve the blooming flowers and only leave with photographs and memories.
