Man charged with ******* over woman’s DV ******

A man has been charged with ******* over the ****** of a woman in NSW’s Hunter Valley.

Emergency services were called to a property in Pokolbin, about an hour’s drive west of Newcastle, over reports of ******** concerns just after 6pm on Friday.

The 46-year-old woman was found with significant injuries and could not be revived, police said in a statement.

A ****** scene was set up and 47-year-old man arrested at the property.

He was taken to a local police station and charged with ******* (DV).

The man was refused bail and is set to face court on Saturday.

Officers have not revealed any further information about the identities of those involved.
