Ghost of Yotei’s Trailer Subtly Teases a Feature We Already Expected To See in the Rumored **** of War Spin-Off

After waiting for more than four years, we will be finally getting our hands on Ghost of Tsushima‘s worthy successor, Ghost of Yotei. In the recently concluded PlayStation’s State of Play, ******* Punch decided to wrap up the event with an unexpected showcase of the game by revealing the announcement trailer.

This highly anticipated title is going to portray a new story—a new samurai warrior, a new place—drifting beyond Jin Sakai and the Tsushima Island. We also got some idea about the new place, along with all the other upcoming aspects, by looking at the trailer. The trailer also teased us with a feature we might see in another highly anticipated title.

A Wolf Companion in Ghost of Yotei

In the very beginning of the trailer, we see a wolf bathed in blood, looking ferocious. Now, at the end of the trailer, we see the same wolf facing off the main protagonist of the game, Atsu. The wolf looked way too aggressive for its first appearance, and it almost attacked the new samurai hero of the game.

Surprisingly, there was a rapid swirl of breeze along the direction of the new place, Mount Yotei. And out of nowhere, the fierce wolf went in the direction of that mountain. From the looks of it, it seemed Atsu somehow knew how to tame that wolf. That is why, instead of attacking, that animal chose to run away from her.

In Ghost of Tsushima, there were a number of animals that you could actually ****, like monkeys, deer, and wild cats. Although all of them can be tamed only in the Iki Island DLC. But in the base game, Jin had a wonderful combat partner and swift traveling companion in his horse.

That means the possibility of a wolf companion in the upcoming games is quite viable. However, these are all mere assumptions, as there has been no sneak peek about a companion from ******* Punch so far. We might not know about Atsu’s companion, but we have got an idea of who is going to be her enemies.

We Might See a Wolf Companion in **** of War‘s Atreus Spin-Off

Not only in Ghost of Yotei, but we might also see a wolf companion in the highly anticipated **** of War spin-off title. As of now, there is no confirmation about it from Santa Monica Studio, but credible rumors and some job listings in April pointed towards a potential spin-off title in the **** of War universe, which will highlight Kratos’s son Atreus.

More than Ghost of Yotei, there are higher chances to see a wolf companion in this title. We have already seen Fenrir in **** of War: Ragnarok. Fenrir was a Hel Hound who eventually ***** in the lap of Atreus due to its age. Later on, this wolf was resurrected by Atreus into Garm’s body as Fernir’s soul was stored in the ****** of Kratos’ son.

Seeing a wolf companion in both Ghost of Yotei and the Atreus spin-off title of **** of War is going to be fascinating. Now let’s see what ******* Punch and Santa Monica have in their minds.
