AFL grand final: Logan McDonald named for unchanged Sydney Swans as Brisbane make solitary change

WA key forward Logan McDonald has been passed fit to play for Sydney as the minor premiers go into the grand final unchanged.

It comes as Brisbane make just the one change, with ruckman Darcy Fort coming in for the injured Oscar McInerney.

A question mark hung over the fitness of McDonald after he was subbed out of the preliminary final win over Port Adelaide with an ankle injury.

But the Perth-product has been deemed fit and will take his place in the starting 22 for the decider against Brisbane at the MCG on Saturday.

As revealed earlier in the week by the club, Swans captain Callum Mills won’t play after he injured his hamstring in the days after their qualifying final victory over arch-rivals Greater Western Sydney.

Defender Dane Rampe has been named as the stand-in skipper in Mills’ place.

The Swans are likely to name Robbie Fox as the sub once again after he was utilised in the role in his past two appearances.

Fort will play only his third game for the season and first since round seven as he comes in for No.1 ruckman McInerney who dislocated his shoulder twice in their thrilling preliminary final win over Geelong at the MCG last week.

Harry Sharp, Henry Smith and Darragh Joyce have been named as emergencies for the Lions.

Meanwhile, the Swans have named Aaron Francis, Peter Ladhams and Caiden Cleary as their emergencies.
