****** Stranding 2: On the Beach is confirmed to release sometime around next year exclusively for the PlayStation 5 and the game developers of Kojima Productions are about to launch a massive marketing campaign starting with this year’s Tokyo Game Show. The original game was released back in 2019 for the PlayStation 4. It was later remastered for the PlayStation 5 and ported to PC, leaving the gaming community in awe of Kojima’s creative vision.

Events are a massive deal nowadays, especially with what other game developers have achieved in the past. There is a slim chance that this upcoming event may not be as wild or memorable as the reveal of what is arguably the biggest and most popular PlayStation exclusive revealed during E3 2016.

The game developers of Kojima Productions are finally putting the metal to the pedal by sharing new details and content about ****** Stranding 2: On the Beach. Director Hideo Kojima was pleased to announce that he is heading to this year’s Tokyo Game Show and will bring a few guests for the upcoming panel. Kojima revealed this would be the first time he will be taking the stage after five years since the COVID pandemic which is oddly familiar with the setting of the ****** Stranding universe.

It is always a good time for developers to host a dedicated panel for an upcoming game. The gaming community expects new content like a new story or gameplay trailer, details about new characters, and an official release date. The director is an expert at keeping secrets close to the chest and there is no doubt that the story of ****** Stranding 2: On the Beach will be equally as good, if not better than the first installment.

Despite the massive hype from fans, there is a slim chance that this upcoming event will not hold the candle to what Sony Interactive Entertainment and Santa Monica Studio achieved during E3 in 2016. The gaming community was blown away after director Cory Barlog was seen sitting at a booth playing a live demo of **** of War, and it will forever go down as one of the greatest moments in gaming history. Barlog recalled feeling ***** and anxiety of potentially messing up live in front of thousands of audience members but fate was on his side.

The live demo paired with a live orchestra gave the gaming community a glimpse of what the soft reboot and sequel of the 2018 **** of War is all about and was a great start to get the blood pumping and energy flowing within the halls of E3. Hopefully, the upcoming panel for ****** Stranding 2: On the Beach will do the game the same favor by sharing just enough details without going into detail.

The technology required to make great video games has evolved since then. Santa Monica Studio decided it was best to do a significant overhaul for the Norse Saga to set it apart from the original trilogy and it did wonders. Director Hideo Kojima was gifted with the Decima engine from Guerrilla Games and the leaps in visuals and graphics between the first ****** Stranding and the sequel are night and day. Some fans think the teasers alone show that this upcoming game will be the most realistic video game ever developed.

Game shows are meant to celebrate art and games that will be released sooner rather than later. The developers will provide the gaming community with little tidbits of information and content to keep them at bay and interested long enough before the official release window. After the recent reveal of the highly anticipated Pro model of the PlayStation 5, the gaming community is confident that Sony Interactive Entertainment could partner with Kojima Productions to design a new limited edition model once more similar to what they did five years ago with the PlayStation 4.

This year’s Tokyo Game Show is good for the upcoming ****** Stranding sequel despite other major competitors releasing alongside it in the following year, the gaming community is already sold on Kojima’s vision. The first teaser trailer did not give much away and only ignited the fans’ interest, and this upcoming panel could give them more answers and even more questions about where Sam Porter Bridges will be heading next.

Kojima Productions took all the feedback from the first game regardless it was positive or negative comments about the campaign length, story, and gameplay, Hideo Kojima intends to learn from his shortcomings to better appeal to the general audience this time around.
