Thomas Ross Healey appeared in Manjimup Magistrates Court on Thursday and pleaded guilty to driving with an illicit ***** in his system and careless driving on June 22. The court was told at 3.30pm, Healey turned on to Collier Street from Mount Street, but lost control of his Mazda vehicle and crashed into a property on Collier Street, destroying a fence and damaging a brick wall. Healey was given an ***** ***** test and returned a positive result for methylamphetamine. Healey claimed he had fallen asleep at the time of the incident. The damage caused meant the fence had to be completely removed and replaced. Magistrate Anthony Sullivan fined Healey $1400 for the *****-driving offence and ordered him to pay $300.50 in court costs and $200 in test analysis fees. Healey was fined a further $350 and had his licence disqualified for six months in relation to the careless driving charge.
