SafeWork NSW investigate man’s ****** at Lucas Heights recycling facility

A 31-year-old man has ***** while at a recycling facility in Sydney’s south.

Emergency services were called to the Cleanaway recycling facility on Little Forest Rd, Lucas Heights, about 12pm on Tuesday.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attempted to treat the man but he ***** at the scene.

Police attached to Sutherland Police Area Command were also called to the facility.

The incident has been referred to SafeWork NSW.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.

The landfill facility has listed on its website that it will be “closed until further notice”.

A Cleanaway spokesman told NewsWire the company will “work together with the relevant authorities”.

“At this time, our thoughts are with all those who have been impacted by this tragic event,” he said.

“As this incident is currently under investigation it would be inappropriate to comment further.”
