Earlier this year, Sony ended up canceling the mandatory PSN sign-in for Helldivers 2 following fan backlash on Steam. However, that situation was a bit different in that the PSN log-in requirement was introduced after the game was already out. **** of War Ragnarok just launched last week on PC, and Sony had previously stated a PSN account was needed when the Sony Santa Monica game was announced for Steam. (Side note: Here are the PC specs for **** of War Ragnarok.)

Sony is bringing more games to PC, and the PlayStation titles will require a PSN account. Along with **** of War Ragnarok, the remake of Until Dawn will also have a mandatory PSN log-in to work on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

If playing **** of War Ragnarok on PC, the game’s companions should be less annoying. Additionally, the PC edition of the title features unlocked frame rates and ultra-widescreen monitor support.

Looking ahead, Sony Santa Monica is reportedly working on a new IP, outside of **** of War. However, nothing official from Sony has been revealed about what this project could be. For more, check out GameSpot’s **** of War Ragnarok review.
