Detective Greg McDougall, 46, was allegedly hit and briefly dragged underneath a Toyota HiLux after trying to approach the driver in Belmont on Friday. Police later revealed a search of the car uncovered 1kg of methamphetamine — worth about $1 million. In an interview on Monday, Chris McDougall — the officer’s twin brother — said the first thing his brother asked was if his colleagues had caught the suspect. He said it “made his day” knowing that the alleged offender had been caught.
