Wellard reassesses future after $7 million peace deal on disputed export carrier

Live exporter Wellard is reassessing its future after a protracted but successful battle to regain ownership of its last carrier.

Under a deal struck with liquidators in Singapore, the WA group will pay $US5 million ($7m) to recover title to the Ocean Drover, which is operated by Wellard and carries cattle from South America to Turkey for charter customers.
