Multiple roads in Scranton closed until further notice

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Scranton Police Department has announced multiple road closures in Scranton.

According to the Scranton Police Department, Cedar Avenue between Lackawanna Avenue and the Biden Expressway is closed until further notice.

South Washington Avenue between Lackawanna Avenue and River Street will also be closed, officials add.

The closures are taking place in the area of the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is expected to visit Sunday afternoon.

Those accessing the Marketplace at Steamtown are asked to use the Mifflin Avenue entrance, police note.
