Police say they have discovered about a million dollars worth of methamphetamine inside the car allegedly involved in the hit-and-run of an experienced police detective in Belmont.

Police claim the detective senior constable from the ***** and firearm squad was trying to speak to Stoneville man Brenden Ross Green, 37, in a white Toyota HiLux during a “targeted” operation on Friday evening. Mr Green allegedly sped away.
