With its uneven beady eyes, eight long legs and two thin antennae stretching all the way back to its bright orange tail, you could be forgiven for thinking this western rock lobster would make a tasty dinner.

Plated up on a faux bed of ice crafted from isomalt, the life-sized creation would instead be better suited to dessert — it’s actually an artistic, baked cake creation, and the winner of this year’s decorated cakes masters division at the Perth Royal Show.
