Woman Sues Cops for Mistakenly Arresting Her After Cruise

A Texas woman is suing Florida police for mistakenly arresting her after her cruise in 2022. Jennifer Heath Box was told there was a warrant for her arrest over child endangerment. She tried to explain there was a mistake but cops hauled her off to jail. Box spent three straight days in jail. The Florida police deny any wrongdoing, saying that they arrested Heath Box only after receiving confirmation from Texas authorities that a warrant was issued for her arrest. She was released after authorities determined the woman they were looking for did not match the description.
