You can still comment on Nisqually plan for property in Lacey near Cabela’s. Here’s why

A new comment ******* is now open on the environmental assessment of the land surrounding a proposed casino in northeast Lacey near the outdoors store Cabela’s, the Bureau of Indian Affairs announced Wednesday.

Under assessment is the Nisqually tribe’s Quiemuth Village mixed-use development, which aims to build out 174 acres near the proposed Quiemuth casino-resort, which has previously been pitched to occupy 74 acres.

The tribe owns about 250 acres in the area.

Two options are being explored for the village: a commercial mixed-use development and an entertainment mixed-use development.

The comment ******* began Sept. 18 and runs through Oct. 18.
