Medtronic Australasia ordered to pay largest ever penalty for unlawful supply of therapeutic goods

A medical supplier has been ordered to pay millions in the largest-ever penalty in Australia for unlawfully supplying more than 16,000 bone graft kits.

Medtronic Australasia Pty Ltd will have to pay $22 million in penalties after the Federal Court of Australia ruled the company unlawfully supplied 16,267 units of its Infuse Bone Graft Kit between September 1, 2015 and January 31, 2020.
