However, the concept of production staff and members of the broadcast team also being cut and dropped during this window is becoming an increasingly common trend. This isn’t the first round of layoffs to hit the Call of Duty League, unfortunately. It never fails to throw into question the security of the League’s future in the esports space. For now, teams are continuing to act like nothing is wrong, so perhaps there’s not all that much going on behind the scenes to threaten the Call of Duty League’s 2025 season. It was a only few months back that the CDL’s leadership team made several shocking changes for the betterment of the teams involved in the League, after all.
