Cockle is Back

The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep marks a return to the franchise for Doug Cockle after almost a decade. The iconic voice actor was more than happy to step back into the role of Geralt of Rivia after recently admitting that he’d gladly represent the famed monster hunter forever if he could.

Sirens of the Deep will see Geralt take on a contract involving ‘merpeople’ in a seaside village. It’s a story pulled from A Little Sacrifice, a shorter Witcher text from Andrzej Sapkowski, the creator of The Witcher. In the story, Geralt will become intertwined in a conflict that eventually pulls in other characters from in and around The Witcher’s wider universe.

At 1 hour and 29 minutes, Sirens of the Deep is the longest adaptation of The Witcher to make it to screens. As CD Projekt continues to work on the next Witcher game, fans of the franchise can use productions like this to ‘plug the gap’. It’ll likely be a few years before we see the next Witcher game surface, even if it is the chief focus of the team right now.
