Four hospitalized following Chuckanut Drive ******; driver arrested for vehicular ********

Authorities arrested a man after four people were injured in a car ****** on Chuckanut Drive in Whatcom County around 7:44 p.m. Saturday.

The cause of the ****** was reckless driving, according to the Washington State Patrol. Nathan Singh, 20, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of vehicular ********.

No drugs or alcohol were involved in the collision, and witnesses reported that Singh was driving with no regard for others, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Kelsey Harding.

Singh was heading south on Chuckanut Drive in a 2024 BMW M4. The second vehicle, a 2020 Hyundai Tucson, was being driven north, according to a news release from the Washington State Patrol.

The BMW lost control and drove into the other lane, hitting the Hyundai. Both vehicles came to rest in the northbound lane, closing the road for several hours, according to the release.

Singh and his passenger were not injured but the four people in the Hyundai, including two young children were injured. All four were taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham.
