The series has always been more about long-term play, however – Diablo 3 still enjoys a healthy active player count 12 years after its release, after all. Given that the latest entry is once again built with continuous evolution in mind, then, Blizzard is conscious that it can’t rest on its laurels if Diablo 4 is going to come close to having the longevity of its predecessor.
