This collaboration led to creating two maps, Ruins of Erangel Sandstorm and Exploration, in the World of Wonder mode. Through these PUBG Mobile maps, the developers hope to create a visualisation of the future, where climate change impacts the world in devastating ways. The maps feature elements like raging sandstorms, ***** trees, sea level rise, and more. In Ruins of Erangel: Sandstorm, players must race to collect medical supplies across the map. As the sandstorm closes in, the player who survives the longest wins the match. Ruins of Erangel: Exploration, players will be able to participate in a “unique narrative-driven experience” that features a “powerful story about the impact of climate change”. PUBG Mobile Run for Green Event PUBG Mobile also has a Play for Green-themed event for the game’s classic modes. Each player’s sprint distance across any of the game’s classic modes during the event will contribute to server-wide milestones. These milestones will help “aid projects worldwide in protecting vital habitats.” As part of the Run for Green event, players can unlock a new interactive area in PUBG Mobile’s Home mode. The interactive area is a garden that brings attention to “5 endangered tree and plant species in the real world,” including the Giant Baobab Tree, Wollemi pine, Monkey Puzzle Tree, Pitcher Plant, and Corpse Flower.
