1 Mistake Related to Scorpion Lord You Should Not Make in ****** Myth: Wukong

****** Myth: Wukong has easily been the biggest game released in 2024. Apart from looking amazing and playing amazing, it also introduces players to the world and lore depicted in Journey to The West. The game’s story has strong roots in ******** and Buddhist mythologies and excellently conveys them in a game format.

However, there’s a small problem. The characters and bosses in ****** Myth: Wukong are all based on this lore, but you might not even see all of them in your playthrough. There are certain bosses in the game that you can completely miss. The Scorpionlord is one of them.

****** Myth: Wukong Has A Lot of Missable Content

The Scorpionlord is located in the secret area of Purple Cloud Mountain in Chapter Four. The boss can be found perched on the roof of a hut near the Bounds of Deity’s Abode. His ****** is triggered by breaking jars nearby, which causes him to ******* the player. This can be easy to overlook, if players are unaware of the specific steps required to engage him.

Unlike other bosses, he is entirely missable. If you defeat the Duskveil, the final boss of the secret area, before finding and fighting the Scorpionlord, he will disappear for the rest of the playthrough. He is one of the ******* bosses in the game so you might not want to miss that.

Aside from the Scorpionlord, the Daoist Mi is the other missable boss in Chapter 4. Similar to the Scorpionlord, defeating Duskveil first prevents players from facing Daoist Mi, locking them out of not just the ****** but also unique items like the Violet Hail Transformation.

These are examples of one of the game’s features that could turn out to be a problem. Progressing too quickly without exploring optional areas can result in losing access to hidden content. For players aiming to complete everything in a single playthrough, this means having to start over or wait until a New Game Plus mode.

The Worse Part Is That There Are No Signs or Hints

One common frustration shared by players is the lack of clear signs that warn you about missable content. Several players have talked about instances where they accidentally skipped over bosses like Scorpionlord. Without the right information, it’s easy to lock yourself out of some of the game’s best-hidden battles.

What makes this situation more frustrating is the lack of in-game indicators to warn players. Climbing the stairs to the Duskveil arena might feel like the next logical step in progressing through the chapter, but this unassuming decision can lock you out of both the Scorpionlord and another missable boss.

Since ****** Myth: Wukong is not an open-world game, players don’t have the freedom to return to every area at will. Each chapter contains points of no return, meaning that once certain conditions are met or bosses are defeated, the game locks the player out of further exploration in that region.

So even if these bosses are optional, skipping them could serve as a hindrance for you. The items and reward drops are designed to assist players as they face more difficult challenges later in the game. This raises a problem where players have to look things up as they’re playing.
