How to Beat Chief Cawah

To complete the Dude Raiding level, players need to know how to beat Chief Cawah in Astro **** and get away with the Mothership’s GPU. The entire level is one of the more fast-paced ones and even borrows some cinematic moments from the title it’s referencing.

A game like Astro **** would have been incomplete without a reference to Uncharted, and Team Asobi has knocked it out of the park with this level. Not only is the environment perfect for such an experience, but the developers took it one step further and even added some gunplay!

Given the level is heavily based on Uncharted, the player first lands in a jungle environment, surrounded by ruins and swamps. The action begins soon after, as Astro **** encounters another **** with a very familiar hairstyle pinned behind some rocks by ****** *****. Nathan **** then tosses his **** over to Astro, who quickly adopts not only his appearance but also his risk-taking attitude!

The player can now use the **** to dispatch threats from a distance, and this will be happening a lot throughout the level. The player will start by exploring the swampy ruins, jumping from platform to platform, and using their **** liberally. There are a bunch of environmental hazards that must be dealt with as well, such as teetering platforms, narrow plank walks, and crossing gaps using the backs of turtles.

You will also encounter several Bots resembling the various characters players find throughout the three original games. This isn’t the first level to make such a direct reference to other PlayStation games, as the Nidhog boss level is based on **** of War. But there is far more to do in this one, and it captures the Uncharted experience.

After dealing with various enemies by making the most of cover-based gunplay, the player will work their way into the temple. Expect to encounter some ****** traps similar to Indiana Jones and plenty of other enemies to take down. The path is fairly straightforward, and you will finally come upon the Mothership component encased in vines.

However, before you can free the component and make your way back, you’ll be rudely interrupted by the boss of this level, Chief Cawah. He’s not the first boss to use magic as his primary offensive maneuver, but there is an added twist to this encounter. Instead of facing off against the boss, the player will be holding onto the trapped component as it moves along a rail to the temple’s exit.

Astro will be hanging from the rope, anchoring the component to the rail. Chief Cawah will be floating behind you trying to grab onto the component, and in doing so will use two main attacks. His first is an energy beam he shoots from the jewel in his crown. This one has a very noticeable charge-up time, so you know to move up or down on the rope to avoid the *******.

His second move is to launch a silo of projectiles at you. These can’t be dodged as they are individual attacks, but they can be neutralized using your ****. Wait for the arrow to appear over the projectile and then ****** it to ******** it before it can reach you.

Just as you leave the temple, the Chief will grab onto the component, and you’ll be flung off the rope. While it may seem like the Chief has won, the mouth-like gate that opened to give you access to the temple now slams down on top of the vengeful spirit.

As he resists, you will be required to repeatedly ****** at the jewel on his head until he is crushed by the stone mouth and you get access to the component.
