Astro **** MiniBoss Guide: How to Beat Uber-Foe

If you’ve been wondering how to beat Uber-Foe in Astro ****, then you’re in the right place! Not only are we going to give you tips on how to beat it, but we are also going to tell you how to best navigate the Orbital Blitz level in this Uber-Foe guide.

While not a very overt reference, Orbital Blitz makes many a callback to the Wipeout games by way of the discoverable bots hidden throughout the level. However, the subtle reference doesn’t mean the level is any less fun than the others, and the boss helps make it even better!

Astro’s arrival at the level itself will require some adept maneuvering of his glider to ensure he doesn’t get knocked off by the various moving contraptions. Once safely landed, Astro **** can begin exploring this stellar level. He will encounter one of the Pilot Bots he can recruit throughout the level on an asteroid reached after taking down some enemies. However, the true boss ***** ahead.

On a floating island, right after finding the first pilot, Astro will spot a warp platform. However, on approaching this platform, we get our first glimpse of Uber-Foe, who beams up the platform and flies away, leaving Astro to give chase. While other bosses, such as Nidhog in **** of War, aren’t found until the end, Uber-Foe makes his presence known early on.

Once Astro has ridden the rails left behind by the flying saucer to the new set of floating rocks, he’ll witness a blue comet come crashing down in front of him. This comet is a chest, and on opening it, Astro **** is granted the Rooster Booster. The backpack allows Astro to propel upwards into the air, enabling him to reach platforms, activate mechanisms, and also break through obstacles.

From then on, it’s a matter of timing your jumps and making sure not to take damage from projectiles. Our little ****** will have to make ******** use of this Booster as many platforms have been placed just out of reach of his regular jump. It’s good practice for the final boss, as the player will need to use this ability as their main damage dealer against the flying saucer.

You’ll encounter the boss a couple of more times through the level before exploring the floating space station and riding the final rail to get to the boss. It’s a similar approach to Captain Pincher, which requires you to ascend a mountain before you can finally take down the boss. However, unlike Pincher, Uber-Foe doesn’t require you to climb up his body, as he doesn’t have one!

The lack of a body also means it can’t physically ******* you. But that doesn’t mean it’s going to wait around inviting you to punch it. Uber-Foe will continue to drop self-destructing enemies on the arena that will chase you down. Avoid punching them, as this causes an ********** and your ******. Instead, jump over them or run away until their fuse runs out.

Be wary of the other regular enemies that jump into the arena. These won’t self-destruct, so you need to time your punches. Once Uber-Foe drops his silo, he’ll start flying around aimlessly, almost celebrating a win that he has not yet achieved. You can use this moment to ******* using your Rooster Booster.

Get underneath him when he’s celebrating and boost up into him. This should cause him to get knocked backward, and then he will release another wave of exploding enemies. Repeat this boosting ******* three times before you finally take down this boss and can warp out of the level.
