Deciding to work with the Sentinel class in Towerborne is always a good choice with its wide range of combos and blocking ability, providing you have the right build. Sentinel Overview, skills, and combos Sentinel is a bit of a jack of all trades in Towerborne, able to block, air juggle, and guard break. It is the perfect starting class for anyone looking to learn the mechanics of the game, but that’s not to say it doesn’t shine when mastered. The problem with being okay at everything is that the Sentinel doesn’t excel anywhere, either. Where the Rockbreaker is a damage-dealing juggernaut and the Shadowstriker is a lightning-quick *********, Sentinel just kind of sits in the middle. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==Screenshot: PC Invasion Working with Sentinel is all about finding just what works for you. Currently, I like to use it with bleed and elevated critical hit damage and chance. I find these work best for the fast ******* style and clever defense. However, as the game moves through early access, many new elements will be added. We will keep on top of this guide as things change. Sentinel combos What makes the Sentinel build stand out in Towerbourne is its shield. When used normally, it will mitigate a percentage of damage. However, the way to master this class in Towerborne is to time your parries. By parrying an *******, enemies are staggered and opened up to the various combos available to Sentinel. By holding down light attacks, Sentinel can throw enemies into the air, following them up to perform long air combos. This is the perfect way to both get out of danger and whittle down the ******’s health away from the crowds. Sentinel is able to perform fast and effective close-range combos, but moving back and using shield bash will knock back a lot of enemies at once, giving space for more chained attacks. Sentinel Skill – Valor Valour is built by the Sentinel as damage is received and taken. Once the valor bar is full, it can be unleashed, reducing damage for a time. It will also automatically parry enemies, provided the block button is held. Best ******* for Sentinel Sentinel is a class in Towerborne that does it all, both blocking and attacking. The skills you choose to equip on your ******* should mirror this. Personally, I opt for a more all-out ******* style with my build, choosing to have two skills that provide knockback and launch enemies. I found that the air combos available were where Sentinel was best in Towerbourne. I use these two skills. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==Screenshot: PC Invasion Reeling Spin The Ace spins three times, pulling in enemies and dealing damage. The reason this one works so well for me is in part due to crowd control but also for the opportunity to chain an air combo afterward. Pulling in enemies leaves them all vulnerable to being tossed up and dominated. This works very well with the Sten Umbras abilities. Crownbreaker The Ace leaps up and drives their shield into the ground. Deals damage and launches enemies. Again, this is a great skill for keeping enemies off their feet. I used it to single out bosses and keep them out of the action and in my air combo control. Best armor build for Sentinel Stat rolls are what is important with any armor choice in Towerborne. If you want to really craft your build for the Sentinel, you should focus on the strengths of this Towerborne class. I found that heal on hit was an absolute must-have for the class, as they are able to hand out huge combos with many strikes. When used properly, this kept my health bar nice and high. ******* and Crit boosts were also key elements of the build. I found the Sentinel to be quite low damage, so adding extra to each ***** helped cut down enemies quickly. Currently, it is still in early access. However, as time goes on, more aspects and Umbras will be added. For the time being, this is what I chose to use. Umbra For me, the Sten Umbra was perfect for this Sentinel build. By placing down the single AoE damaging orb, I can then use the Reeling Spin ability to pull enemies into it. The combos of the Umbras ******* with the special move quickly clears whole levels of enemies. It is even able to pull in bosses, dealing some serious damage. Aspects I have been working towards healing and bleed damage with the aspects I currently have available. There are a number of aspects that provide healing on every hit, and these are key to my Sentinel build in Towerborne. Alongside these, I like to use a bleed aspect or two in order to cause constant damage to the enemies. This allows me to focus on heavier enemies, allowing the weaker ones to bleed out.
