In the world of third-person action-adventure titles, Remedy Entertainment’s Control has made a special place in everyone’s hearts. Released in 2019, the game is available across all the major platforms. As a result of this brilliant success, shouts for a sequel were quite obvious. That is why Remedy has confirmed Control 2 is on its way pretty soon. Despite being a title from five years ago, the game looks flawless, with its stunning visuals and captivating gameplay. Graphics, smooth controls, and easily accessible mechanics have been the keys of the game so far. However, the game lacks an important aspect, and that is the storyline, which Remedy might look to fix in the upcoming sequel. Control Is Missing One Big Aspect – A Proper Storyline Recently, a dedicated Control fan took to This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up and shared their insights on the game. In this post, they went on to describe all the good and bad aspects of the game. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up by This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up in This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up This fan basically stressed the lack of story-building in the game. According to them, the opening act is bold and well-paced. But after an hour and so, the game slows down. The story of the game is based on Jesse Faden, who embarks on her journey to find her missing brother in the Federal Bureau, which investigates and handles paranormal activity. However, this is all, because after that, every plot twist is literally meaningless. The HQ in the game is the oldest house in the storyline, a building infested with supernatural phenomena that look normal from the outside but have a graver, more mysterious inside. Jesse looks for her brother using a supernatural entity called Polaris. But this is all because the main protagonist of the game makes innumerable wrong decisions, and there is no character development seen in the game, which we naturally see in other games. The plot is utterly dependent only on paranormal aspects; beyond that, there is no depth. To put it in a single sentence, despite being a visual treat, the game doesn’t have a strong storyline to back that. According to them, the visuals of the game are insane. Also, the controls of the game are quick and responsive. Hence the movement and ********* feel highly realistic and great. They also stated that the setting of the game is by far the best aspect of the game. The artists and designers of the game have done a great job “using the simple concept to breathtaking effect.” The visual part is okay, but the main thing Remedy has to address in the upcoming sequel is the storyline. For the sequel, the development company of the game has partnered up with the popular ********* media company, Annapurna. There is also an Alan Wake movie planned in this partnership. So, it’s up to Annapurna and Remedy to shape up the storyline and plot of the game, keeping up the great visual aesthetics and controls. What’s your opinion on this review of Control?
