Walmart mass shooter attends courthouse hearing in El Paso

The Walmart mass shooter is scheduled to return to a state district court at the Downtown El Paso courthouse. He made his first public appearance in this courtroom in his state ****** penalty case in 2019.

A scheduling conference is set for 9 a.m. and may offer a timeline for when attorneys must file pretrial motions.

Judge Sam Medrano will oversee the hearing on Thursday, Sept. 12, in the 409th District Court at the Enrique Moreno County Courthouse in Downtown El Paso. Medrano is requiring the shooter, 26-year-old Patrick Crusius, to be present.
