Fremantle Dockers to delist four in Matt Taberner, Ethan Hughes, Sebit Kuek and Conrad Williams

Fremantle forward Matt Taberner and defender Ethan Hughes have both been delisted by Fremantle in the club’s first round of off-season list moves.

The Dockers have cut four players, Taberner, Hughes and uncapped pair Sebit Kuek and Conrad Williams.

The news comes before Taberner and Hughes prepare to play in Peel Thunder’s preliminary final against Swan Districts at the weekend.

Taberner played 125 games for Fremantle. His last match came against Geelong this season after a shock gameday call-up to replace the injured Sean Darcy.

Hughes, played 107 matches, including six this year.

Kuek, who was a mid-season recruit from East Perth in 2022, injured his ACL in a WAFL game for Peel Thunder against East Fremantle in Geraldton in 2023.

It meant much of the athletic forward’s time at the club was spent on the inactive list. He was added back to the main list late this season.

Kuek played twice in the reserves — once for Peel and once for his former club East Perth — in the reserves and five times in the league for the Thunder this season, but has not been a part of their finals campaign.

Williams played 27 games across reserves and league at WAFL level.
