Although the post didn’t go into too much detail, it did mention that the studio is actively working on bringing a “version of Minecraft” to the PlayStation 5. In addition to the PS5 version of the game, Mojang ensured fans that the studio plans on “releasing a number of free game drops throughout the year,” as opposed to the one free update players would get during the summer. However, not all of them will be as big as the Tricky Trials update.

The studio revealed that it plans to retire the Mob vote, which has been controversial within the Minecraft community for some time. Instead of having the yearly vote as it used to, Minecraft Live will now be “a more focused broadcast, and it will happen twice per year.”

Just the other day, the Minecraft movie trailer was revealed. On top of showing off the cast, it was riddled with various Easter eggs from the game.
