Tash Peterson: Controversial vegan activist holds bloodied protest outside David Jones in Perth’s CBD

Just one week after controversial vegan Tash Peterson vowed to move her aggressive activism to the Eastern States, the 30-year-old has held a shocking protest outside a major retailer in Perth’s CBD.

Ms Peterson prompted looks of confusion and outrage as she lay in a bikini covered in fake blood outside David Jones on Hay Street on Monday.

She joined animal rights organisation PETA to protest the ***** of items made from animal skin.

In pictures and videos of the stunt, Ms Peterson can be seen lying on a “blood-soaked chopping block” that reads: “David Jones: Drop Wild-Animal Skins”.

PETA said her bloodied snake-print bikini was meant to resemble an “abused reptile”.

“The action will alert the public to the fact that David Jones still hasn’t committed to adopting a policy to ban wild animal skins despite several closed-door meetings,” PETA said.

The bloodied stunt comes one week after Ms Peterson pleaded guilty to charges of disorderly behaviour in public and ********* damage following a stunt at Belmont Forum on December 23.

Ms Peterson stormed the shopping centre in the afternoon pre-Christmas rush, throwing red dye on the meat-filled display cabinet at Tenderwest Meats Butcher, shouting: “You have blood on your hands”.

After being fined $1500 for disorderly behaviour in public and $500 for ********* damage at the Belmont store Peterson told The West *********** that she would be more “tactical” with her protests in WA, where she viewed the legal response as heavy handed.

But the rest of Australia should brace for more of her demonstrations, with Peterson promising to ***** up again in other “less draconian” States.
