Saltwater Croc sighted swimming just 50m off Gantheaume Point rocks

A saltwater crocodile has been sighted swimming just 50 metres off popular swimming and fishing spot Gantheaume Point this morning, heading towards Cable Beach.

As a result Shire of Broome rangers have closed the beaches between Rendell and Cable Beach for the next 24 hours.

It is expected the reptile will be captured by Parks and Wildlife rangers and relocated to Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park, in accordance with Broome Shire protocol.
