was previously released in August 2023 and was praised for being one of the best RPGs of the year, capturing the spirit of Square Enix's 16-bit RPGs. The praise is well-warranted, as some of Sea of Stars' inspirations did include Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG, both being developed by Square in the late 1990s. Not only does Sea of Stars directly emulate these older JRPGs, but it also had one of Chrono Trigger's composers on the team, Yasunori Mitsuda.
