West *********** boxer Alex Winwood has vowed to bring a world title back to Perth in the near future after falling agonisingly short in his bid to create history in front of a near-packed HBF Stadium on Saturday night.

Winwood, 27, (4-1) had to dig deep to regain his composure in the ring after being knocked down several times, although there were only two official counts, and had worked his way back on top of his Thai opponent when the final bell rang to end 12 rounds of compelling boxing, that was televised live on 7PLUS.
