4 Secret Area Bosses You Need to Beat to Earn the Secret and More Satisfying Ending in ****** Myth: Wukong

****** Myth: Wukong is finally released for the PlayStation 5 and PC platforms and the gaming community did not waste any time exploring every crevice in the game. The game developers of Game Science wanted to highlight the importance of ******** mythology and embedded secret boss fights in remote locations, players discovered beating these secret bosses would grant them a different ending that many would consider to be the true ending for the Destined One in his journey.

Nothing good comes easy and players will have to ****** for the true ending and give Sun Wukong and the Destined One the peace they deserve. One small side quest could ultimately change the outcome.

Game Science Didn’t Want Players to Know about the Alternate Ending of ****** Myth: Wukong

The gaming community will go the extra mile to get the most out of a game and players were initially confused about how to find these secret boss fights. In Chapter 2, the Destined One will come across six of Buddha’s eyeballs and these may seem like collectibles on the surface; however, there is more to it than meets the eye. Players can collect and deliver these eyeballs to summon Shigandang and ****** him to gain access to rare resources that could benefit players in their journey.

More secret boss fights are scattered across different chapters in ****** Myth: Wukong and players must complete the Treasure Hunter side quest and defeat all the bosses, namely: Elden Jinchi in Chapter 1, Fuban in Chapter 2, The Duskveil in Chapter 4, and Bishui Golden-Eye ****** in Chapter 5. Once the Destined One bested these omnipotent foes, they must travel to the Great Pagoda Realm.

Failing to do these optional boss battles will not grant players access to the secret boss ****** which is Erlang Shen, the prologue boss who defeated Sun Wukong under the orders of the Celestial Court. Initially, players were confused about the ending and players were surprised to see the Destined One suffer the same fate as Sun Wukong as he takes his place of being trapped in stone since the player did not collect the sixth relic: Wukong’s mind which happens to be in the possession of Erlang Shen acting as the gatekeeper to determine if the Destined One is a worthy successor of Sun Wukong’s powers and legacy.

Sun Wukong was given a headband that acted as a leash to keep him in check and obedient to the Celestial Court. Wukong wanted to be free from the Court’s rule so he made the ultimate sacrifice and waited for a worthy successor to inherit his memories, powers, and legacy. The Destined One believed his journey was meant to reclaim all of the relics that were the senses of Wukong and to resurrect the fallen deity but it turns out his journey was about living up to his legacy.

Optional boss fights may not appeal to casual players who want to rush through the story mode. However, there are benefits to accomplishing side objectives such as unlocking rare resources and weapons that would offer gameplay benefits to make their ****** Myth: Wukong experience much smoother and more convenient.

Straying from the main path and taking the time to explore is not a bad idea for a game with intense combat. In the end, players will reap the rewards and give the Destined One the chance to live up to his full potential.

These secret bosses are minor roadblocks to reaching Erlang Shen and defeating him will give players the experience of fighting the final boss: the mindless husk of Wukong. All of their struggles have been leading up to that final battle.

Game Science wanted to give players a unique experience and this proves deviating from the main objective has its benefits. The Destined One would have never found the final relic if they hadn’t faced these bosses.
