Ochota Barrels is the pioneering and widely influential minimal intervention winemaking label established by the late Taras Ochota and wife Amber Ochota. Following his tragic ****** in 2020, Amber has continued his legacy and maintains the same philosophy and style. She credits ‘the family’ for the winemaking which includes her mother, Taras’ father, local winemaker Louis Schofield and their whole community in the Adelaide Hills. And, she humbly maintains “It’s not rocket science … it shouldn’t be that serious … it’s about good times.” The current release reds are as nervy, fine-boned, and thrilling to drink as ever.
