World of Warcraft China (WoW) has recently sponsored two ******** Dota 2 organizations going into The International 2024. These sponsorships are happening despite Valve’s ban on in-game ads during the massive tournament. It was recently announced that World of Warcraft China was going to sponsor G2xiG and Xtreme Gaming’s Dota 2 team going into The International 2024. This huge esports event is considered the biggest Dota 2 competitive tournament in the world, happening once a year. Seems pretty cool that a video game completely unrelated to Dota 2 would sponsor them, right? The sponsorship plan was originally to put two popular WoW character’s names on the jerseys of each team.
