Mandurah detectives investigating after elderly woman scammed

Detectives are searching for a man who may be able to assist in an investigation after an elderly Mandurah woman was scammed.

A woman in her 80s received a phone call from a Melbourne phone number with the caller claiming they were from the National Australia Bank security office.

The victim was advised to withdraw money to the value of $10,000 USD, stating the money would assist in the apprehension of scammers.

The male provided the victim with a collection location and password with details to confirm the money was given to the correct person.

Police are looking for the pictured man, who is approximately 170cms tall and has a full beard.
