AFLW: Jessica Rentsch backed to become midfielder after encouraging showing in West Coast Eagles debut

West Coast’s top draft pick Jessica Rentsch has made an eye-catching start to AFLW life as a defender, but one teammate has her pegged as a **** midfielder in the same mould as Eagles star Bella Lewis.

Rentsch made her debut in the Eagles’ one-point victory over Richmond on Friday night, playing across half-back. She had seven disposals, six of which came from intercept possessions.
